Through in-person and online gatherings, original research, storytelling, and funded joint communities and projects, you’ll deepen your understanding of concepts like othering, belonging, breaking, and bridging. You'll also share practices and strategies to counter polarization and democratic erosion while navigating the complexities of power, privilege, and positionality in our diverse social and cultural contexts.

Virtual event series

  • Processing Politics

    Processing Politics

    Monthly virtual series where Forum members can make sense of—and collectively process—ongoing political developments through a bridging and belonging lens.

  • Bridgers' Roundtable

    Bi-monthly virtual meetups to exchange insights on depolarization and facilitate dialogue, while sharing experiences in bridging divides.

  • Making Sense Of...

    Monthly virtual space for Forum members to slow down and think together. Each session invites open dialogue and shared reflection on current events — always through the lens of bridging and belonging.

  • Brewed Connections

    Monthly series of informal coffee chats where Forum members are randomly paired to learn about one another’s work.

Communities Supported by the Network Catalyzers Program 2026

  • Bridging in Local Civil Society in Prague

    This community connects people with migration backgrounds, Czech-born citizens, and local organizations in Prague who want to strengthen community life and civic participation. Through dialogue, shared experiences, and collaborative activities, participants explore common challenges and develop ideas for local initiatives.

  • Common Ground LAB

    Common Ground LAB is a practitioner-focused learning circle in Central and Eastern Europe exploring how trust, participation, and belonging are built in everyday contexts. It convenes participants around concrete themes and local challenges to foster peer learning and cross-context exchange. Its distinctive approach centers on practice-based reflection rather than abstract frameworks.

  • Reparative Democracy Design Lab

    This community exchange is for those ready to dig into why democracy has failed working class communities and communities of color — and to reimagine the democracy we build in America’s next chapter. Drawing on local and international models, participants will explore and practice new democratic tools while forging connections across Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Midwestern applicants will be given priority consideration.

  • Créer des ponts dans la fracture / Create Bridges in the fracture

    The idea of « Créer des ponts dans la fracture » is to federate people working on rural gentrification and political polarization and invite them to share their experiences and work to inspire others and be inspired. A popular education program to collectively study the rural gentrification and help each other to find ways to create common along France

  • BreachBuilders

    BreachBuilders is dedicated to rebuilding international cultural relations, unlocking the potential of youth from diverse backgrounds, race, ethnicity and colour, and fostering (re)education through innovative research approaches and methodologies.

  • Mythic Plurality & Belonging: Remythologizing the Stories that Shape Our Democracies

    This community brings together cultural workers, organizers, and civic leaders across Central and South Texas to explore how the stories societies live by shape belonging and civic life. Rooted in the cultural complexity of the borderlands and drawing from the Mythic Plurality Project, participants examine inherited narratives about identity, migration, borders, and democracy while imagining new mythologies of pluralism, dignity, and shared futures.
